The city is well aware of responsibility before nature as well as the people and these duck ponds ensure that the people of the city get a peaceful and quiet place away from the noise of the city. During this walking tour you will be introduced to some of the most beautiful parks and gardens’ sights in Berlin too revealing a great deal of the natural side of this city.

Berlin is our starting point and our first stop is definitely one of the most famous places of the city – Tiergarten. This garden occupies the territory of more than 500 acres and is called the ‘green lungs’ of the city. When walking through pathways delicately lined with green trees and brightly bloomed flowers you will see such sights as the Victory Column.

For a quieter atmosphere go to Neuer See (New Lake)Were you can rent a paddle boat enjoy the water after exploring the lake. Do not miss the Rose Garden with over three hundred varieties of roses, which will delight the eye and the nose.

2. Volkspark Friedrichshain

The next park in our vernissage is more like a hidden gem that is neatly nestled in Friedrichshain district. This park is a popular park among the residents; it has many activities whereby it attracts nature lovers of all ages.

The first attraction that you’re probably going to see as you penetrate into the park area is the Märchenbrunnel – the famous Fairy Tale Fountain. These cute statues represent some of the figure from fairy tales and help to make the environment more magical. Stroll leisurely on the nature trail along the park’s grand having a picnic at the large greenery of spaces. A history lover could always take a trip to what remains of a flak bunker left behind from the Second World War which has bit of modern twist being now a climbing wall.

3. Gardens of the World

Just a short drive from Marzahn-Hellersdorf you will find a magnificent show of horticultural beauty that is the Gardens of the World. This park is quite large with several gardens all of which have a central theme and are very fascinating.

First off one can begin with the Chinese Garden which has installations such as pagodas, tea house and a lovely fish pond with lovely koi fish. Then, proceed to the Oriental Garden which takes one to Middle East Magical theme. Visit Japanese gardens which are well trimmed, and have water features and an actual tea house. Lastly, you would visit the beautiful and aromatic Italian Renaissance Garden flower bed. Every one of these gardens offers you a glimpse into that kind of culture so as you get that you yourself can be transported to a world of elegance and harmony.

4. Tempelhofer Feld

Temporary Feld is a park like no other, so no visit to Berlin’s green spaces is complete without it. The distinctiveness of this place is that it was once an airport. Formerly an airport functioning under the military’s control and used during the Cold War, Tempelhofer Feld is now a large public park and has the best features of both–the aesthetics and the history.

Previously this area was an airport built to accommodate airplanes and the different structures such as the main building still exist today. Walk or cycle around at the former airstrips and get to see beautiful architectures across the skyline in Berlin. With ample room for preening, kites, as well as a number of field sports, Tempelhofer Feld is a playground for outdoor aficionados.

5. Treptower Park

Treptower Park is the last landmark on our tour and is a park at the river side with beautiful gardens, boating facilities, and also steeped with history of Second World War. Near the Spree River, there is this park where tourists can visit the Soviet War Memorial as a symbol of the military who died in the Second World War.
