If you are visiting Berlin and you have a huge interest in the nightlife places then, cheers! It is the city famous for the massive choice of the great and various bars to meet any client’s requests. While the typical Berlin pub occupies an industrial or workmanlike space, drinking holes in Berlin run the stylistic gamut from quirky speakeasies to cross legged beer gardens. In this upcoming blog post I will be listing some of my favorite and coolest bars that anybody should visit while in LA.
1. Dr. Pong
For an extraordinary and more participative dining, Dr. Pong in Mitte is a bar that shows a capricious take on ping pong. Beer drinkers can make other patrons competitors for ping pong games while they enjoy their craft beers and cocktails. That’s why it’s the ideal place to let out all that competitiveness and be able to find new friends in the process.
2. Bar Tausend
Over a below-ground railway car park, Bar Tausend provides a glittering and stylish basement drinking hole. This is an elegant bar, with well polished interior decoration to give it a deluxe look. Bar Tausend has an unbelievable number of drinks offered as cocktails and the visitors will be impressed by live music. Just a friendly reminder, get a reservation first because this place tends to get crowded easily.
3. Klunkerkranich
For people interested in a roof top venue with stunning views, then the Klunkerkranich is the venue to go to. Situated on the roof top of a multi-story car park this is casual and trendy bar and restaurant. You enjoy a cold drink and watch the city skyline besides interacting with people and loving every moment of it. Klunkerkranich not only is a bar but also the open-air urban garden where different kinds of art pieces and live performances take place.
4. The Bird
The Bird is a perfect place for you if you like burgers. Open from morning to night, this is an American style bar and grill in Prenzlauer Berg for breakfast, lunch and dinner, accurately billed as ‘Feel lifestyles’ burger heaven’. Forget about your cares and enjoy your burger while drinking a beer, it’s a very nice atmosphere here. The Bird still provides great entertainment options with trivia nights, live music, and even sports on television.
5. Badeschiff
Avoid the summer heat by enjoying your beer at this unique place built in the form of a cargo ship, moored along the river Spree. This urban beach bar showcases a pool, to enjoy the water amidst the events, as well as sand for the visitors to relax on. Said to be inspired by a beach resort, guests can order a cocktail and get a tropical, lively feel of the place. In addition, Badeschiff plays host to parties and events and is therefore advised that interested persons should consult the organized schedule.
Final Thoughts
The bar scene in Berlin is a great adventure that might be of interest to all ages of visitors. Whether it be passionate ping pong duels, obscure speakeasies, unique rooftops that seem like literalholes in the ground, beach bars, or pretty much any other interesting location you could think of, there are plenty of places to have fun. Day or night, exciting or laid-back, Berlin’s bars favor culture, fun and sociability as some of their most important attributes. Therefore make sure you have a beverage, relax and enjoy the environment and make great moments while in the busy capital city of Germany.
