What Can I Explore in Tiergarten, Berlin’s Urban Oasis?

Torge Garten is one of the largest Central Parks in all the cities the formal known as city of Berlin. Originally a royal hunting ground of the Prussian kings, Tiergarten is one of the largest inner city parks in European with an area of 520 hectares. Tiergarten is sited in central Berlin and its name literally means the animal garden as was once home to wild animals.

Take a bicycle from any of the bike rentals stations that dotted the park and ride round the park in the various bicycles tracks. Boat ridding services are also available on the Tiergarten Lake or you can rent a row boat for a more relaxing cruise.

If, however, you are not in the mood for a walking and talking, choose an unobtrusive area to sit down, read a book, eat a sandwich, or bask in the sun. Tiergarten is also used to hold many outdoor activities and shows including concerts to increase on the energetic surrounds.

6. Dining and Refreshments

Taking a tour around Tiergarten may make one hungry, fortunately there are restaurants in the park as well. The cuisine and drinks served at this Café am Neuen See are good and the Café boast a view of the lake. You can also eat at their beer garden which offer traditional German beers and special meals, all from Café am Neuen See.

For the quick bites and coffee you can visit the Café Rosengarten nestled behind the Rose Garden. They provide you delicious and varied meal including pastries and beverages, which you can have while surrounded with roses.
