by | Oct 22, 2024 | Pub Crawl

As for city’s ambiance and vivid colors, there is probably no place that can rival Berlin. Unlike many other cities that offer limited form of attraction to photographers, Berlin city has countless opportunities for photography lovers due to its deep-rooted history and pluralist architecture, active street life. Whether you’re a photographer for a living, or just a traveler who would like to capture the beautiful moments of his or her trip, this article should come handy, as it is designed to provide information on the best photo locations in Berlin.

1. Brandenburg Gate

I feel we should start off with the Brandenburg gate. The beautiful and majestic structure that stands before us is a union and the most famous neoclassical monument of Berlin. It is breathtakingly magnificent most of the time in early morning or in the evening when the gate is adorned by the golden light. Do not accumulate some photographs from various perspectives; let it also capture the beautiful Pariser Platz Square which is in front.

2. East Side Gallery

For a touch of arts and history visit the East Side Gallery. This is actually a stretch of the Berlin Wall, measuring 1.3 kilometers in length but painted with various fine murals by artists from different countries. The eye catching artwork and deep meaning that is behind them make them perfect for enjoying while taking photos . Wander a little bit and do not forget to take the great picture of the most visited and recognized art pieces in the world including the so called ‘Fraternal Kiss’.

  1. Museum Island

If you are interested in aesthetic genial of the buildings, you cannot but visit Museum Island. The main attractions of the area is UNESCO list of heritage sites, and five important museums with impressive façade and interiors. Take a walk around the hbcat and photograph the beauty of the Berlin Cathedral, the old museum, and the museum of the ancient world. However, the best time to capture these buildings is in blue hour, immediately after the sun has set and the sky has turned blue.

  1. Tiergarten

You have a very good opportunity to leave the noise behind and enjoy the peace of, Tiergarten. This large park is in the middle of Berlin and affords plenty of chances for taking pictures of nature. Take pictures of the numerous truths that could change its colour with seasons, probably in the autumn, or even the beautiful ponds and pathways anytime of the year. The park also hosts the Siegessäule, or the Victory Column, whose observation platform makes visitors feel privileged to see a 360 degree vista of Berlin.

5. Oberbaum Bridge

The Oberbaum Bridge serves a great purpose of being a connection between two sides of Spree River but it also proves to be great architecture wonder. This is a famous bridge that links two districts of Berlin – Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg and the amazing view of the Spree River. Some photographers should come during the blue hour or at night as the bridge will be perfectly well-lit at those times. Try the use of long exposure to be able to capture light trails from boat moving along the river.

6. Kreuzberg Street Art

For lovers of street photography or graffiti you should go to the district of Kreuzberg. As one of the largest and most bohemian areas of the city, Kreuzberg is filled with street art. Stroll through the alleys to catch some snippets of life vivid graffiti, murals and stencils can be viewed in every few meters. It is also worth walking down title streets, side-roads or even back ways, as there are items of interest hidden in the courtyards.

7. Tempelhofer Feld

Tempelhofer Feld is a former airport which transformed into a public park, which is perfect for summer and photo opportunities of Berlin’s skyline. I certainly recommend featuring runways, open space, airport terminal building; perfect for shooting sun setting, kitesurfing, skateboarding, and so on. While locating the best sites to capture, they can just take a bike ride or conduct a picnic as they check around.

8. Berlin Wall Memorial

For a prime and culturally preserve photo tour, visit Berlin Wall Memorial. Part of the wall can still be seen today, and there are records and displays that illustrate people’s experiences of it. Take pictures of the remaining fragments of the wall, the saved towers and interested rubber memorial crosses for frontier-crossing victims.
